Our Toyota Aygos cost €35 to €36 per day and the Ford Transit costs €59 per day. SnappCar adds its fees on top: a service fee, insurance and roadside assistance. For an Aygo at €35 you pay from €48 per day in total, or €55.95 if you reduce the excess to €250. SnappCar shows the exact price before you pay.

Because SnappCar adds a few items to every booking: a service fee (€5.50 per day on an Aygo at €35, €10.66 per day on the van), comprehensive (all-risk) insurance at €5.50 to €21 per day, and mandatory roadside assistance at €2 (car) or €3.50 (van) per day in the Netherlands. Yes. In the Netherlands you can pay on SnappCar straight from your Dutch banking app instead of a credit card. Prepaid credit cards are not accepted. You pay the rental upfront; extra kilometres are settled afterwards.

Cancel more than 24 hours before the start and you get a full refund. Within 24 hours there is no refund. To change the date or time, send a change request in the app. SnappCar cancellation policy.

For the white 2014 Aygo, yes: it has a multi-day discount, so rent for more than 3 days and you get 15% off the day price. All our vehicles also have an early-booking discount; SnappCar shows when it applies and how much you save. The maximum rental period is 90 days.

You must be at least 21, have held an EU or UK driving licence for at least 12 months, and live in the Netherlands or Germany, so visitors on holiday can’t rent. You also need a verified SnappCar account, which costs a one-off €10 that you get back as SnappCar credit. All requirements on SnappCar.

SnappCar accepts licences from EU countries (except Greece) and the United Kingdom; for a Greek, Swiss or Norwegian licence you can ask SnappCar for a manual check. All other licences (for example from the US, India or Turkey) and International Driving Permits are not accepted, even if you live in the Netherlands. Yes, as an extra driver. They need their own verified SnappCar account and are added by invitation once the booking is confirmed; from then on they are insured too. Only the main renter picks up and returns the car. Adding an extra driver.

Not with one account: on SnappCar you can only rent one vehicle at a time. If you need two Aygos, for example for a group, a second driver books the other car with their own account.

Each car has a fixed spot in Tilburg: two on Troelstrastraat (near Tilburg Universiteit station), one on Hendrik de Keijserstraat, one on Ringbaan-West and one on Kempenbaan in south-east Tilburg. The van is in Sprundel, near Etten-Leur. You get the exact address after booking.

Cars with SnappCar Keyless open with the app, no meeting needed. From 30 minutes before the start you check in, photograph the car, tap ‘Open the car’ and take the key from the glovebox. When you return it, put the key back and lock the car via the app. How keyless works.

You arrange a time with Jorge to collect the key, and you do the check-in and check-out together in the SnappCar app. This applies to the blue 2010 Aygo and the Ford Transit.

Extend your rental in the app before the end time. Returning late without an extension costs €20 per hour (up to €250), and after the end time you are no longer insured. Returning the car somewhere other than the pick-up spot is not allowed. Changing a booking.

You get an Aygo with a full tank; return any vehicle with the same fuel level as at pick-up. If you return it with less fuel, SnappCar charges the fuel plus a surcharge. An Aygo does roughly 20 to 22 km per litre of petrol. Fuel rules.

With the blue Aygo (2010), the white Aygo (2014) and the Ford Transit, yes. You must add international cover when booking (European roadside assistance, €6.50 per day for a car and €8 for a van). If you break down, call SnappCar’s 24/7 roadside assistance from the app and let Jorge know. Always report damage straight away in the app with photos, and no later than 48 hours after your booking ends. If another party is involved, fill in a European Accident Statement together. Yes. Tilburg has no low-emission zone for passenger cars, so a petrol Aygo can go anywhere in the city. The central shopping area is only open to cars from 6:00 to 11:00, though. Park in one of the municipal car parks instead, or for free at the P+R by Tilburg Universiteit station (Troelstrastraat) and continue by train or bike.

You do, as the renter. Fines from your rental period are passed on through SnappCar with a €20 admin fee. Parking, tolls and the rules of low- and zero-emission zones are your responsibility too; check them for your route beforehand.

No, smoking isn’t allowed in any of our vehicles and pets can’t come along. Children are welcome. According to SnappCar, smoking or heavy soiling costs €75 plus cleaning costs.

Yes, a standard B (car) licence is enough for the Ford Transit. The same SnappCar requirements as for the cars apply: at least 21 years old and a licence held for at least 12 months. It has 3 seats, so two helpers can ride along.

The cargo space is 11.1 m³: about 3.49 m long, 1.78 m wide and 1.89 m high. That usually lets you move a studio or small flat in a single trip, including bed, sofa, wardrobes, appliances and boxes. Long flat-pack boxes, such as wardrobes, fit lying flat.

No. The van isn’t meant for bulky waste, rubbish, rubble or garden waste. Please return it clean and empty; SnappCar charges for heavy soiling.

Yes, for now. The Transit is a Euro 6 diesel registered before 2025. Under the national transition rules, such vans may enter zero-emission zones, like the one inside Tilburg’s ring roads, at least until the end of 2027; an extension has been announced. Breda’s zone only starts in 2029. Check opwegnaarzes.nl before you drive; zone rules are your responsibility as the renter.
