How it works

How renting from Go-Mez via SnappCar works

Go-Mez is an independent host on SnappCar, the platform where private owners and small hosts offer their cars. You choose the car here, then book, pay and get insured through SnappCar.

In six steps

  1. Step 1: Create a SnappCar account

Download the SnappCar app or go to snappcar.nl. Enter your details, confirm your phone number and upload your driving licence (front and back). Verification costs a one-off €10, which you get back as credit. A manual check can take a few days, so sort it out in advance.

  2. Step 2: Choose your car and book

Pick the Aygo that suits you on this site and click through to SnappCar. Choose your date and time. If instant booking is on, your booking is confirmed straight away; otherwise you send a booking request and Jorge replies as soon as he can.

  3. Step 3: Pay and choose your excess

You pay upfront, straight from your banking app or by credit card. At checkout you choose your excess: €750 as standard (with a €250 deposit), or reduced to €250 for €7.95 per day, with no deposit. After payment you receive the contact details and the pick-up address.

  4. Step 4: Pick up the car

For a keyless car you check in via the app from 30 minutes before the start: take photos, tap ‘Open the car’ and take the key from the glovebox. If the car isn’t keyless, you arrange a time with Jorge and do the check-in together.

  5. Step 5: Drive

You set off with a full tank. Broken down? Call 24/7 roadside assistance through the app. Running late? Extend in the app before the end time.

  6. Step 6: Return and check out

Refuel to the same level, park in the same spot, take photos and check out in the app. You can reclaim your deposit 72 hours after your last trip. Extra kilometres are settled afterwards.
